I am currently running rc-1. Is it possible to do an upgrade to 5 final?

Absolutely. Download the current ISO, copy the /porteus/base files in the ISO to the /porteus/base folder on your system.

Now to be on the safe side I would recommend you rename the /porteus/base folder on your system to be /porteus/baserc1 and create a new /porteus/base folder to which you copy the ISO's /portues/base files to it.

Where things might get complicated is with changes you've made to the rc-1 system that you've saved. Are you saving changes and if so how are you saving them?
