Welcome on board :)

It's not possible to install Office 2003/2007/2010 on Porteus/Linux. The reason is office is using a framework specialy for Microsoft Applications. You can install some low-level applications but Office, I don't think it's possible. You can try to install differents frameworks available on Microsoft Website but I can't tell which one will works or if this works.

Well , I am newbie to Porteus but had been using Solaris/Linux for a while.
I am running Centos 6 on my laptop as well as on my desktop. I can use
MSoffice 2007 on it ( via wine ) and also can type in my language ( bengali )
on it.

So I am puzzled why I can't do the same on Porteus?

It's not totally impossible but that will require you to install some other packages. I don't know the name of them.

@arshad
Must it be msoffice 2007?
First of all, wine will make your system sensitive to windows viruses, worms and trojans: elemental, Watson!

Why don't you try Open Office (now Libreoffice), that does practically the same; maybe Abi word just does it....

Cheers!
