USM missing from Porteus 5/32bit Live setup

Post#1 by lm089 » 29 Aug 2023, 14:05

Hi,
created a new Live USB setup for my old netbook (porteus 5 32bit) as I somehow messed up the old one.
restored modules and the save.dat file from a previous installation.
Then I tried to run the package Manager / USM but cannot find it, neither in the graphical interface nor from terminal.
In terminal I always receive something like "unknown command".
From what I remember usm should be located at \var\, but there's nothing there

Is there a way to separately install the package manager, or do I have to start from scratch?

@lm089
When you have further questions or encounter any issues with getmod please post your question/issue in the thread [Porteus 5.0's USM replacement] getmod: A wrapper for slapt-get to build modules Ed_P pointed to you.
Cheers!
