ATI xcm

Post#1 by flebber » 23 Feb 2012, 10:36

apologies, I am reading the posts but not directly understanding how to xcm a module. Specifically on a hard drive installed version of porteous 1.2rc1, I have found the http://ponce.cc/porteus/x86_64/testing/ ... 4-1ftm.xzm module.

I download it but which exact location is the kernel in so I can extract the xcm to it?

Welcome on board flebber,

software in Porteus comes in the shape of xzm modules (aka rar/zip archives) but dont need to be extracted anywhere.
just put your ati xzm in /porteus/modules folder on your booting media and start (or reboot) Porteus.
this module will be activated during boot time and fglrx driver becomes ready to use without any other action.
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.
