How to change default wallpaper when I run from RAM? [SOLVED]
Hi,
Firstly thank you to creator of this matchless OS and to all those contributors involved. It is saving lots of time for me and assisting me in many ways.
Today I had a question : I want to change default wallpaper permanently when I start the OS and run it from RAM using USB. Which image from Porteus folders should I replace my desired wallpaper with?
So that when I run the OS again, I see that desired wallpaper instead of the default one. Please reply and belated very happy new year to all!

You don't find water relaxing!! But forest scenes can be relaxing also.
What I suggest for your quest is to choose the image you want for your wallpaper, add it to your /home/guest/Pictures folder, right click on the desktop, choose the image, save the desktop change then make a module of your changes, and add the xzm module to your booting parms.

hi you can make a directory with the pictures that you like and store on the root of the device that you have,out of porteus directory,in this way the directory remain on also if you reboot and you can pick the pictures you want as wallpaper,this is useful if you run porteus on ram without changes.

@softappweber
'overwrite' the original porteus.jpg wallpaper via rootcopy.
a) locate the porteus.jpg file - In xfce it is in /usr/share/wallpapers/
b) as root create /usr/share/wallpapers/ in the rootcopy folder and add a/your
- renamed to porteus.jpg - wallpaper.
Example:
<your device>/porteus/rootcopy/usr/share/wallpapers/porteus.jpg
where porteus.jpg is your own wallpaper.

Thank you Donald, Benny and Ed_P;
I have created wallpapers folder in rootcopy folder of Porteus which was on my USB. I am restarting OS to see if the change persists.

How to change default wallapaper when I run from RAM?
Hi firstly it did not work, if it affects boot time I don't want this change. I added 'porteus.jpg' in rootcopy/usr/share/wallpapers/porteus.jog' but the desired wallpaper did not appear automatically on restart. But as suggested by other user I placed I could see that porteus.jpg in wallapapers on restart so I can quickly change it manually. Its enough for me. I am marking this thread as 'SOLVED'.
