[Solved] Thunderbird

Post#1 by bakunin » 30 Aug 2022, 15:51

Hi, new to Porteus so excuse me as I'm still trying my way around. I am using Porteus 5.18.8 kernel.
I am running into a few problems, and I will open new topic for each of them so as not to confuse.
This is about Thunderbird. I downloaded mozilla-thunderbird-102.2.0-i686-1.txz from Slack. Put that into the Module folder. Converted to xzm. After reboot, the Thunderbird icon appears in the Menu>Internet, but clicking on it will bring up nothing. The Thunderbird module appears green in the Menu>System tools>Porteus modules.
I tried to install the module instead. It will say Module Installed, but the same result. What can I do?

You edit the initial post.

Also, maybe you are interested in a slim thunderbird fork called interlink, see newest version here:
Interlink V52.9.8194 GTK3 en_UK (email and news client, slim Mozilla Thunderbird fork)
Cheers!

You edit the initial post.
And when you cannot do so (e.g. when too much time is passed since you created that post) ask one of the forum moderators to do that for you.
Cheers!
