Porteus 5 rc3 installation at extfs - how to upgrade to the final release?
I've been playing with my Porteus v5 RC3 installed as an old-fashioned Linux on ext4fs partition and would like to know how to upgrade it to the freshmost release. How could I have it done with persistence of all my settings/savings made since the first deploy?

Porteus 5 rc3 installation at extfs - how to upgrade to the final release?
I would copy the new ISO's /EFI folder over your existing /EFI folder, the /boot folder over your existing /boot folder and the /porteus/base folder over your existing /porteus/base folder. Everything else I would leave alone.
A more cautious approach would be to rename your existing 3 folders and copy the new ones in their place.
No guarantee all your rc3 settings and savings will work flawlessly with the final release.
