Yep, you'll get there. That's the Linux way - sometimes hardware is simply too new or too old.

thanks- ill keep going with it- i did try the ahs and non ahs versions- still no luck- its likely a bios setting perhaps. Yes i tried porteux too- i have it as a virtual machine.
