PorteusBuild: Kobo Deluxe (x86 and x86_64)

This section is designed for your 'porteus build scripts' which create Porteus modules for your favorite applications. Scripts should work like the well-known 'SlackBuilds' with minimum user interaction.

PorteusBuild: Kobo Deluxe (x86 and x86_64)

Post#1 by BlackRider » 20 Jul 2011, 11:55

Kobo Deluxe is a third person scrolling 2D shooter with a simple and
responsive control system - which you'll need to tackle the tons of enemy
ships that shoot at you, chase you, circle around you shooting, or even launch
other ships at you, while you're trying to destroy the labyrinth shaped bases.
There are 50 action packed levels with smoothly increasing difficulty, and
different combinations of enemies that require different tactics to be dealt
with successfully. It's loads of classical arcade style fun.

I have packaged this PorteusBuild pack to emulate the packaging process
of SlackBuilds. To compile and create the package, just place the required
debian packages in the same folder as the uncompressed script
(kobodeluxe.PorteusBuild). Then, execute the script with root privileges.

A package will be generated in /tmp

You need the kobodeluxe and kobodeluxe-data packages for your architecture
for this script to work

kobo deluxe for amd64:

Thanks for your support.

If anyone could test this pack on a x86 system, it will be helpful.

I have just updated the link.

The first build pack was affected by a bug that could have prevented the script to detect the needed i386 packages.
The use of this pack for x86_64 architecture was not affected.

Hi,

That is a good work!

But You need to make two packages, one for i486 and one for x86_64.

I'll test your pack in x86.

Code: Select all

But You need to make two packages, one for i486 and one for x86_64.
This pack is supposed to work on 32 bit and on 64 bits alike. Do you mean you want me to post binary pakages?

By the way, thanks for you help.

You just need to make a thread in x86 section for your PorteusBuilds (if they are compatbile with x86)

An example,

You made a PorteuBuild of Firefox, but you have two versions, one of x86 and another of x86_64. Then you will make two threads,

Module x86

Module x86_64

I hope that you understand this.

Cheers!

PorteusBuilds are different then xzm modules. they need compilation tools, headers which may be not present in the ISO, etc.... modules are ready to use after double click. lets tie up forum a bit and move all pbuilds to designated section of the forum:
http://porteus.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=76
(This subsection is moved from "Development" up to "General" which is more accurate.)

Please mention in the thread title the arch it fits to, like:

Code: Select all

FileZilla 3.3.5 (x86 and x86_64)
and not like:

Code: Select all

NTFS Progs 2.0 for 64bit CPU
- lets stick to some standards.

@BlackRider
pls move your threads from "x86_64 xzm modules" to pbuilds.

Cheers
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.
