Ignispkg for Porteus 5.0

Here is a place for your projects which are not officially supported by the Porteus Team. For example: your own kernel patched with extra features; desktops not included in the standard ISO like Gnome; base modules that are different than the standard ISO, etc...

I did it in this way thinking about upcoming releases .
Me too. :D

When looking at the tigervnc packages in Alien I see duplicates for 1.5.0 for i486 and x86_64. Is there a date added or something that could display to distinguish them? Or are they exactly the same? :hmmm:

Added in 3 minutes 33 seconds:
Apparently the sizes are different but no reason why. :%)

So I proceeded to create the script for a x86_64 version, ran script, activated the module and see it nowhere in the Porteus menu or /usr/share/applications folder. :%)

Also 2 suggestions: 1. do the downloads to the /tmp folder and 2. when displaying the last screen tell the user where the files are. Similar to the Browser Updates ending.

Too many, now no tigervnc packages show for Alien. Or are you saying all his stuff is obsolete?

Added in 8 minutes 23 seconds:
In searching for just vnc I see some in Salix-Extra that are for version Salix 14.2. Is Salix similar to Slackware?
And still no Alien packages.

Edited

i have been checking inside /opt/porteus-scripts/xorg/psu.. there is just a gtk su commands hahaha.

But I am not sure about how is working activate script in Porteus 5, maybe its an issue in your environment
Now Is possible preview a list of your packages when Script is finish.

I back to use su root -c tu execute Terminal... psu is giving me headaches in KDE.. so now everything inside script have things in common with every Porteus Flavors.

:o Ok, I see your point. But I'm not sure I agree with it. I don't think USM did that. But I could be wrong. I can't check cause I'm in Windows at the moment. And https://jsanki.com.ar/porteuspkg/ runs fine on Windows, the downloaded scripts not so much.

Hello all
I have added a new repository Slackware64 Current by Conraid
I fixed some spell mistakes and there is a new button Empty the queue below Download Script
I think it could be helpful to restart a Queue in case that there are a lot of packages coincidences with your current Porteus.

https://jsanki.com.ar/porteuspkg/ Porteus
https://jsanki.com.ar/ignispkg/ Ignis my custom Porteus

thanks

harakiri hahahaha I liked your interpretation

I have realized that is not easy to keep a project alone and Porteus needs keep improving probably I can help a little instead to make another MIX OS with a fancy Openbox.

The thing is i got inactive links trying to download, having evaluation in mind but i'm only one guy anyway, while there's some persistent impression i'd say, that most other visitors would just give up fast and never look back. It turns out i don't run fast...

Nice. I only used a couple minutes to verify what i was missing, less about half-a-minute searching the page for download links when in fact there's a search field to type in, and guess what... It worked!!

M'well, HardInfo is v0.5-something so maybe it dates a bit but VLC is there too, only it's all .TXZ so my spontaneous intuition says that's source-code, right? I hope it's been added among the favourites in the default web browser...

Too bad 'x48' ain't part of the list; it stands for HP-48, the calculator. Big brother of the HP-42. :D

More USB flash drive to patch.

...

Euh... OKay, now where's the .ISO again?...
