Hi Nico, I've tried some days ago your SAM Linux, is nice indeed, although I don't like much that toolbar/launcher on the desktop, I prefer just my desktop with icons
Why openoffice instead libreoffice, if I remember ok openoffice is smaller, but libreoffice is more update and better no?
btw, I've found really nice your sourceforge site (sam linux site) with all that modules available to use
please add audacity too.
I like also your concept of keep all in 700mb or less
In general, I think is better if you keep the distro more simple, ie without many modules included by default, since anyone can go to sourceforge page, download any module and install, is better, at least I think so.
Maybe a "light" variant?

About other thing, I considering also Linux Mint (debian edition 3) or (probably) Slax, althout I can't boot this from my pendrive yet heh, I wonder why, but well.
I like the cinnamon desktop, and I guess debian is probably the distro with more software accessible, so Slax is maybe my best choise because I can install any DE anyway, although I'm not sure about how easy can be.
Well, this is just a thought of a Windows user
