Xfce x64 module updated

Here is a place for your projects which are not officially supported by the Porteus Team. For example: your own kernel patched with extra features; desktops not included in the standard ISO like Gnome; base modules that are different than the standard ISO, etc...

The kernel of Porteus-XFCE-v4.0-x86_64-18.08.13.iso was updated from 4.18 to 4.18.4.
Are there graphics driver available for the new kernel, since nvidia-304.137-k.4.16.3-x86_64-don.xzm won't work with any other kernel but 4.16.3 :(
Cheers!

@Rava
I got nvidia-304.137-k.4.16.3-x86_64-don.xzm from

https://filehorst.de/download.php?file=cjsidhnG
md5sum: 424afaeeacbe727398306ccfca66cae6 nvidia-304.137-k.4.16.3-x86_64-don.xzm

and I checked the contents of it.

It is for only the kernel version "4.16.3-porteus".
If it will be adapted to another kernel version,
it must be changed directory name from "4.16.3-porteus" to the new kernel "modules name".
For example, Kernel 4.20-rc7, "modules name" is "4.20.0-rc7-porteus".

Excuse me.
I don't have NVIDIA. And I cann't test it.

As far as I understand, you have to compile every NVidia driver against the crippled kernel sources of the kernel you want it to work with. Just renaming a path in any NVidia module won't do the trick.

But it was years ago since I created a NVidia driver module, usually nowadays donald is doing the nvidia driver creation.

No need to apologize. Without NVidia Card you can hardly test a driver module. :)
I sure know of translate.google.com for years.

Anyhow, doesn't translate any screenshots, like Image is still the same.

Know what? I could create a text translation using google to help me, when you make screenshots with an English localization. How does that sound?
Cheers!

Exactly.

So what do you think of my proposal?
Seems it is not much work for you to make the screenshots, and if I should run into an issue with the automated translation of your Russian article I could always PM you.
Cheers!
