Jack's version of Porteus 4.0 x86-64 - 3 Desktop's

Here is a place for your projects which are not officially supported by the Porteus Team. For example: your own kernel patched with extra features; desktops not included in the standard ISO like Gnome; base modules that are different than the standard ISO, etc...

Since you won't be testing the official Version. Who version will you be testing, if any version?
He would be testing the Jack version. :)
If he does test mine I hope he leaves feedback good or bad.
I just like Slackware because I think it teach you about Linux to build packages where Ubuntu is like Windows you just install programs you want.

Certainly seems fair, for anyone who tests your DE/ISO files.

I did already. About the one DE that won't start remember?

Besides all posts above incl mine here are off topic here. Can another moderator move these into Jacks 3 DE thread? My Internet is too slow currently for yours truly doing that himself.
Cheers!

I told you to use slim if you are trying in Terminal. I start mind by making a bootable USB and pick Graphics mode or AF mode. It boots into the one I pick.

I started LCDE 4.0rc4 and logged in as guest, executing "slim" … but nothing happens.

Or should I try startx again after I ran slim?
Cheers!

I just try slim and startx in guest and root with no luck. The only way it will start is Graphics mode or AF mode. Maybe someone else will help you.
