Porteus Kernel Builder

Here is a place for your projects which are not officially supported by the Porteus Team. For example: your own kernel patched with extra features; desktops not included in the standard ISO like Gnome; base modules that are different than the standard ISO, etc...

Porteus Kernel Builder

Post#527 by neko » 17 Apr 2019, 10:04

"Porteus Kernel Builder" was updated to mkKernel-19.04.17-noarch-1.xzm
Please refer to Porteus Kernel Builder (Post by neko #52232)

mkKernel-19.04.17-noarch-1.xzm (5 M)
http://simosnet.com/livecd/isobuilder/k ... arch-1.xzm
md5sum: 476a6ac6a3cee88c24fb82c5fc660fa3 mkKernel-19.04.17-noarch-1.xzm

Own patch function was deleted.

When "Kernel Builder" detects the AUFS patch error,
it removes the patch from source file.
If continue to next compile process,
the overlay FS kernel will be produced.

Porteus 4.0 Overlay FS (trial version) can be implemented with integrated initrd.xz

Note 3: "integrated initrd.xz"

@Blaze
Thank you for your information.
Now I am building kernel 5.0.12 with gcc 8.3.
And the gcc stable version in Arch is yet 8.3.
At next kernel build ,if possible, I will try to update gcc to version 9.1.0.

Thanks.
