ArchLinux packages manager for Porteus

Here is a place for your projects which are not officially supported by the Porteus Team. For example: your own kernel patched with extra features; desktops not included in the standard ISO like Gnome; base modules that are different than the standard ISO, etc...

@raja
Congratulation !!

The 32 bit application modules that were uploaded
at ArchLinux packages manager for Porteus (Post by neko #49091)
can be used with
the 32 bit kernel 4.4.104 FVWM APorteus.

[APorteus FVWM mini knowlege]
1. The right side dock icons are assigned by the data that are in "~/.fvwm2/assign".
You can assigne a program to a dock icon by changing contents of the data.

For example:
Top icon left button ---> /home/guest/.fvwm2/assign/browser.left
Top icon right button ---> /home/guest/.fvwm2/assign/browser.right

2. set wallpapers in "/home/guest/Pictures"

Thanks.

The real problem and solution is /usr/libexec/mc/extfs.d/iso9660 script :wall:

Even after, I build and installed xorriso, did not solve the problem :crazy:

On digging a little further, I found I also need to update the above said script, so I downloaded a latest copy from an ArchLinux machine which almost solved the problem :D

Next, I wanted to get rid of cdrtools, isomaster and, or every other alternative, why not use one of best suitable only or why install so many alternatives?, so I removed both of the above :celebrate3:

On realizing that the MC also needs isoinfo, I copy it from cdrtools :Yahoo!:

You know, life is'nt as complicated as it sometimes seems to be :celebrate14:

=== Archlinux ISOs that are formed under the Porteus basic frame. ===
3.1. Set configuration data into "Input window".
Image
Input window.
The Set configuration data will not fit on my Laptop screen, so how can I use it?
I just like Slackware because I think it teach you about Linux to build packages where Ubuntu is like Windows you just install programs you want.

I think kernel version: 4.9.67 should be kernel version: 4.9.69. I could be wrong.

@Jack

In Gnome 3 and relatives, I think it's not ALT+Left Mouse Button.

Try WIN + Left Mouse Button to drag a window.

(WIN or your equivalent key depending on your keyboard).

@M. Eerie
Thank you for your help.
I will learn "keybind of lxde".
http://openbox.org/wiki/Help:Bindings

@Jack
1. "how to move a window"
Using "W+Left", did you move a window?

2. "Why can't he make it smaller in size?"
Because I don't have the skill to use "gtkdialog" effectively.
If you know "how to small", would you tell me?
I will update the tool depending on your advice.

Thanks
