OpenBox addon for LXDE 2.1 32 bit

Here is a place for your projects which are not officially supported by the Porteus Team. For example: your own kernel patched with extra features; desktops not included in the standard ISO like Gnome; base modules that are different than the standard ISO, etc...

OpenBox addon for LXDE 2.1 32 bit

Post#1 by ncmprhnsbl » 23 Jul 2013, 07:11

Module for Lxde to enable Openbox as default desktop, add some nice things and shave a little ram usage.
Lxde is available through logout/LDM
Put it in your Modules folder and reboot. (or base) (or load=/path/to/mod cheatcode)
32bit version openbox_addon-i486-ncm.xzm https://app.box.com/s/vlrjmby7medvpjdevu0l 1.8mb
contains
conky-1.9.0-i486-1_prt.xzm
dmenu-xft-4.5-i486-3sl.txz
hsetroot_1.0.2-3_i386.xzm(debconvert)
libid3tag-0.15.1b-i486-4.xzm
tint2-0.11-i486-2sl.xzm
notes:
pcmanfm starts with 'dbus-launch pcmanfm --profile LXDE'(not from 'applications' menu, only 'File Manager' and keybind(super+f))
rightclick bound to ~/.config/openbox/pipemenus/menu4 (menu3 in lxde)(beware, menu entry 'edit menu' opens menu.xml, which is not bound to anything (or is it?))
Web Browser menu entry set to firefox(see above to change)
add images to ~/.wallpaper to change via menu
4 conky themes via menu
4 tint2 themes via menu(one broken)
additions to activate deactivate to update menu.
and more.. best way is to extract the module and have a look...

Thanks a lot for this effort to provide openbox to the porteus community. :)
Module to enable openbox as default desktop and add some nice things.
Put it in your Modules folder and reboot.
Has it to be set specically in one or another of the 2.1 final desktop environment?

I would recommend to make another topic for 64bit edition as it doesn't seems to contains the same lists of packages.
