OverlayFS Porteus

Porteus OV xfce with kernel 5.16 runs fine on my old laptops - "nomodeset" isn`t needed anymore . Also if looking at xfce 4.12 i see no progress beeing made in
version 4.16 , gtk3 runs slightly lower. Baka-mplayer is fine but needs Qt5 here. Var/log/packages should only symlink to var/lib/pkgtools/packages , not
a standalone directory . The future of Porteus is such a more complete iso like this , nice compilation of packages you can use all days.

I have just tested OV.Porteus-XFCE4.12-v5.0rc3-k5.15.7.iso (691 M)

I have a big problem with Opera (only) :
the screen is cut in small pieces which change permanently (same problem as with kde)

Probably my graphic card is not compatible with opengl (last generation)

I deactivated compositor (in Xfce menu settings), but it doesn't change anything... Changed also screen resolutions (or frequency) , but no difference ...

hi neko sorry but the last OVporteus stuck on:Starting New init script <http://www.porteus.org.i don't have an old one to compare...but this is the config of yours:

well, when unsquashfs the kernel module the config inside the directory is the host config 5.15.16 for slackware host and 5.16.2-arch for the arch host, sorry, i have see the overlayfs module builtin,but don't boot.
