Glibc alternative?

Post#1 by n0ctilucient » 21 Jun 2018, 12:22

Embedded GLIBC is...
a variant of the GNU C Library (GLIBC) that is designed to
work well on embedded systems. EGLIBC strives to be source and binary
compatible with GLIBC. EGLIBC's goals include reduced footprint,
configurable components, better support for cross-compilation and
cross-testing.
Basically... it's a binary compatible unbloated Glibc alternative.

Site is...

Source is...

Pls Note: eglibc has been deprecated by the Yocto Project but it's still actively maintained by Xilinx
It is also still supported by EmbToolkit... @ https://www.embtoolkit.org/index.html

This package has not been adopted yet by ("slackonly" or)...
https://slakfinder.org
https://slackbuilds.org
https://pkgs.org

So far... I have not been able to successfully compile this package with the following src2pkg.conf @...
Everything you wanted to know about "hardened" compile flags and src2pkg.conf (...but were afraid to ask)

Thanx... in advance to anyone that IS interested in sharing their precompiled package link.
:hmmm: I do NOT have the "right" to tell anyone what they should do...
but I reserve the "right" to tell them what they should "consider".
