SMPlayer for Porteus 4.0
Here you go:

It is still a little old though.. The sources I had while I built it was 17.10.2 although the website says the latest is 18.3. I will try to upgrade it to the latest once rc5 is released.

Re: SMPlayer for Porteus 4.0
Sadly, https://pkgs.org/download/libQtDBus.so.4 not lists slackware as a source for it. You could try some other Linux variants, usually when pkgs.org is the only choice of getting a compiled version for a dependency, one other Linux variant does indeed work.
But st times you get an error message, especially when the other Linux distro uses a different main C library version.
But when I had not found any compiled version of the needed library anywhere but at pkgs.org , I managed to get the program running using this method in about > 90% of the time.
Just know that unless you know about which Linux variant version is compatible to the Slackware version your Porteus is using, it all is a hit and miss attempt, but at least with high chance to get it running in the end. Just not 100% success guarantee.
Sorry I could not offer you a 100% fail-proof method.

What if we try to compile it?
https://slackbuilds.org/repository/14.2 ... /smplayer/
We just need a recent version of the Qt framework:
http://www.slackware.com/~alien/slackbu ... 4/current/
EDITED: here we go: smplayer-18.10.0 x86_64.xzm.

Re: SMPlayer for Porteus 4.0
VLc Player made by USM for Porteus 4.0 failed to play videos from Internet as well as don/t play Radios, v3.0.2...yet to investigate the reasons.
But, SM Player in Nemisis, plays most URLs.
Just try these two radios.
http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbc ... adio1_mf_p
http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbc ... adio3_mf_p
Useful when I use Netsurf Browser.

Also works with palemoon, and since most users have a browser running, I see no issue here.raja wrote: ↑03 Jan 2019, 10:31http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbc ... adio1_mf_p

P.S. http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbc ... adio1_mf_p is swell.
And http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.net/stream/bbc ... adio3_mf_p is even better.
Is there a easy way to find all kinds of radio streams, like, when I want to have Bayern 4 Klassik or RBB Kultur?
Cheers!
