Has anyone managed to get inkscape running with 4.0rc4 version of X86-64 XFCE Porteus?
I tried with some older version than rc4… and utterly failed, it was due to some missing libraries I was not able to get. If someone did have success, and is willing to share the xzms (one for inkscape, one for the needed dependencies to get it running with Porteus x86-64 4.0rc4 XFCE) it would greatly be appreciated.

Inkscape for 4.0
@Rava
I couldn't compile Inkscape 0.92.2 extra for Porteus 4.0; I got link errors in the pdf-area. I guess Inkscape is not up to date. But I made a folder and put in it all dependencies extra hacked, that they run in 4.0.
Enjoy!

Porteus is proud of the FASTEST KDE ever made.....(take akonadi, nepomuk and soprano out and you will have a decent OS).

Thanks, downloaded them all as "inkscape.zip" (41,9MB), will give you the heads up how it works.wread wrote: ↑08 Mar 2018, 03:11@Rava

Like I said, I downloaded all via "inkscape.zip" (neat function that mega.nz is giving us by creating a zip file that has all the files in its folder in it)
Still, seems these dependencies are not enough:
Seems the hunt for inscape dependencies is not yet over…
System still: Porteus 4.0rc4 XFCE (with added 005-palemoon-27.7.2+FlashV28.0.0.161_2018-02-02-NPAPI.xzm 020-viewnior-1.4-2.xzm 021-geany-1.23.1-x86_64-1gv.xzm and 022-mtpaint-3.40-x86_64.xzm, but none of these seem to provide any needed dependencies for our inkscape issue)
Code: Select all

The missing dependencies are also in my system. They are all slackware...

I hope so, too.
Thanks a bunch, I will give you the heads up as soon as I am back home and can include the Inkscape-missing.zip. Me presumes that might solve all issues, but at times one of the included new dependencies has also a missing dependency on its own...
Cheers!

It would be nice if there was a non Linux / non Porteus based way to go to a website that solves dependency issues... but how could one code it, one would have to have some kind of info file that shows which libs and programs are installed.,
Cheers!
