[SOLVED] Firewall

Post#1 by firefoxjet » 20 May 2011, 23:56

Hello,

Could you please post a firewall module?

While using Slax 6.1.2 and Slax 6.2, I enjoyed Firestarter.

Many thanks for your kind support!

Have you tried the built in firewall yet?

from the Porteus Tips and Tricks in the Howto's and resources section:

10) Firewall -- To enable a pre-configured (thanks to Tomas M) firewall in Porteus at every boot, just add following line to /etc/rc.d/ rc.local: '/etc/rc.d/rc.Firewall start'

If you are not using 'saved changes', you can add that line to rc. local, then save it to /porteus/rootcopy/etc/rc.d/rc.local for the same effect.
Please take a look at our online documentation, here. Suggestions are welcome!

Hi Ahau,

Perfect! It works very well. Many thanks!!

For all the others reading this post: please note that it is

/etc/rc.d/rc.FireWall start

(with the capital W)

and not

/etc/rc.d/rc.Firewall start

(with the lowercase w)
