This is exactly the way to do it. Having a substructure to /porteus/modules works. This is what I have. 8)

Just try it and reboot.

Thinking about it, and as I work more and more often with it hdd, extramod cheatcode is very useful to boot some or many modules in a specific folder out of /porteus/modules folder.

Yes, you can put modules and its dependencies together in one folder.

Moreover, I put modules and its dependencies in one folder also in optional. For instance, if I start the machine to work with Gimp, I use the cheatcode load=Gimp, and all modules under folder Gimp get loaded. Try it!

I put in modules only the commonly used applications. That way the footprint will be smaller....
