But this is machine language, C and C++ written for Win32 in the XP/Vista/7 era... No joy there, yet maybe if it's combined with Wine, QEmu, whatever. Go figure!
Ultimate goal: watch cable TV on a balcony, to crank up one jealous neighbourhood at a fair distance, who won't be aware it's 720x640 SD only.

Well i tried DScaler 4.1.1.5 and 4.2.2 using VirtualBox hosted by XUbuntu, two bad news: #1) Win7 wouldn't activate; #2) DScaler obviously requires a full Windows update that no longer exists!
Maybe there's open freeware to fill the gap but activation will remain an issue unless solved. Microsoft suggests money spending might be a solution...
