Post#1 by Blaze » 24 Jun 2011, 10:29

I need help.

Need to compile Kaffeine 0.8.8 for Porteus v1.0 i486

I can't watch satellite TV in Porteus v1.0 i486 with Kaffeine 0.8.8
Kaffeine 0.8.8 - when I try to open channel - Kaffeine 0.8.8 is close and i have this message:

Code: Select all

@Blaze
if you wont solve this issue by the end of next week i'll try to compile kaffeine myself. I'm too busy at work to do it now - sorry about that.

I have disabled compilation of docs in Makefile to get rid of the error above and kaffeinc compiled without problems.
that was a good part of the news.... now bad one:
it doesn't work at all for me - crashes at every attempt of watching the videos. i hope it's a matter of missing deps or something.

here is the module:
http://www.4shared.com/file/gIp29Orf/ka ... -1ftm.html

that's all what i can do about it....
in case of fail in getting it to work i would suggest going with version 1.2.2 and qt4.
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.

fanthom, thanks for your help.
crashes at every attempt of watching the videos
the same problem with Kaffeine 0.8.8

I use version 1.2.2 and dependences. I have updated my repo with kaffeine 1.2.2.
Image
It work fine for me (but i don't like big size :( ).

Who can help me with resize (remove) icons of this module oxygen icons 4.6.4.xzm for kaffeine 1.2.2? Need icons only for kaffeine 1.2.2
Other suggestions of the resize of modules are welcome.

@blaze
How are you, Blaze!
I downloaded your Kaffeine-1.2.2 module and two others (kaffeine-sc-0.4.1-1 and oxygen-icons-0.4.6.4-for-kaffeine) from your repo in mediafire, put them in a folder, added your qt4.7.0_7abde40-i486-3, added also xine-lib-1.1.19-i686 and libxxs-dev-i386_1.2.2.

I run it in kde4-32 bits; it starts ok, but cannot load internet streams (I guess cannot load any streams). I think I am still missing some dependencies. Could you tell me which modules I still need?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

EDIT: Never mind, Blaze, there is no bug at all; I had no digital TV-receiver card connected!!!, It works!
Porteus is proud of the FASTEST KDE ever made.....(take akonadi, nepomuk and soprano out and you will have a decent OS).
