Reasonable Module Request

At the moment am refining my procedure for Resolving Non-Slackware Dependencies. So if there is a reasonable module request, will be glad to use it for testing purposes to see how the updated procedure behaves in producing said module. 8)

dwarffortress
Got dependencies sorted, but there is versioning problem. Using libstdc++.so.6.0 required by dwarffortress results in demand for versioned libc.so.6:

Code: Select all

usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6.0.21
overlaying
libstdc++.so.6.0: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6.0.18

guest@porteus:~$ dwarffortress
./libs/Dwarf_Fortress: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.18' not found (required by /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6)
Using libstdc++.so.6.0 existing on system:

Code: Select all

libstdc++.so.6.0: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6.0.18
guest@porteus:~$ dwarffortress
./libs/Dwarf_Fortress: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `CXXABI_1.3.8' not found (required by /opt/dwarffortress/libs/libgraphics.so)
Not going to waste time on fixing up versioning. Furthermore anything going wrong with libstdc++.so.6 is anathaema to whole X system. Versioning inconsistency clobbered X.

If I can see that you Porteus XFCE Desktop 3.1 64bit.
Then what are you doing in this discussion. This discussion is i486 not x86_64. :wall:

Suppose our friend is looking forward to playing a game after having downloaded a 32 bit KDE iso. :wink:
