I've included wicd in the latest beta release.

You'll need python 2.6.4 ... and the following:

* python 2.6.4
* pygtk
* python-dbus
* py-cairo
* pygobject

You can check the beta /var/log/packages for versions (002 module if you want to unpack it). You can also boot the beta Porteus, open a console and type: extpkg and then extract the packages you need into a module.

not that I know much, but i would add python:
1. I use blender (needs it)
2. xOffice.org uses it (I think) and I must use just any of the derivatives
3. There are ever more things coming that use it
4. Like it or not, it _is_ a part of vanilla Slackware (=must have)

And today 13MB simply can't get much done for the user side in terms of media content (=4 MP3 songs, just few 10MP jpeg images...) while it helps a lot to "just add" an software to a running host supporting python?

or in few words:
just add it? :unknown:
