1) You can get it thru PPM (porteus package manager):
1.1 Porteus icon (click on it)
- keyword icon
- midori (as keyword) will yield: midori-0.3.5
- download it.

1.2 Slackware icon (click on it)
- search slacky with midori keyword

You will get:
- midori-0.3.5-i486-1sl.txz

Follow the instructions to get it converted into a porteus or xzm module. Dependencies should be resolved by PPM.

2) Download midori:
http://repository.slacky.eu/slackware-1 ... 86-1sl.txz

Once downloaded right click on the .txz file and select one of the last actions on the menu:
action < select tgz/txz to xzm. This should also work if there is no additional library needed :)

It is certainly possible to run midori through LXDE. Let me know if the methods above don't work, and I'll see about putting a module together. It's a fair amount of work because I'd want to update to the latest stable version and try to compile out as many dependencies as possible.

When you pull the standard slack packages, it will bring in a lot of deps. It won't run without webkit, icu, libsoup (iirc), ca-certificates, glib-networking, etc. It does use less RAM than Firefox, but the number and size of dependencies (plus more familiarity with firefox) is what keeps it out of the Porteus-Xfce iso.

If you can make a modele with Midori it will be great. I can't test the method above right now because i don't have internet on my Porteus computer (using a modem and don't know to to configurate it). Hope i can try this method above soon. Thanks for replying. :good:

To use internet, just plug the cable. If using wifi, use the sns tool in system applications. :)

Oh! Excuse me.

It seems that I not that much informed about these 3g modems, defined in:
3G

Dongle HUAWEI E173 would be a 3g modem. :) The following thread might be a solution:

Midori is now available in the PPM repo! Download it Through the Package Manager.

And it does not work, because although it claims all dependencies are satisfied, when you start it it complains about glib-networking missing, and stays that way.
