Kingston usb disk locked

I have a kingston usb disk locked. No dd or fdisk command will restore read-write function. Do you have any suggestion?

I have read that the palimpsest utility or gnome-disk-utility might enable me to overcome the problem. Permitting me at least to erase the whole key and restoring read-write function. You have read or used this utility. I would like to have it installed under porteus xfce desktop.

However, I would not mind to do things under other linux distributions.

Make sure the contacts of the drive and the port are clean. Emory paper is what I use to gently clean them.

I have access to the files. It is just that gparted will not modify the read only status, neither fdisk or dd usual procedure or even hdparm.
