This post is needed since Porteus v 1.0 came out. Everything worked more than fine with porteus v.0.9 32-bit, the only version available at the time. See the above post on hp pavilion 2713ca laptop.

Porteus v 1.0 64 bit is really a nice OS. The tools provided are a great improvement over the v 0.9 32-bit edition. However, in terms of compatibility it does not match v 0.9 32-bit edition for my laptop. The problems are :
1) the wifi is no more functioning for the BCM4328:

2) I have been yet not able to get printing to work for my brother hl2170w, although beny has achieved to do it with its brother printer:

Gusterrapolis printmodule was really a great universal solution under slax. However, this module is no more compatible under porteus v 1.0:

However, I should add that printing problems should not be an issue for hp printers. Blablotin came out with a solution for its HP Deskjet 930C:

In my case with a hplaserjet 3030, I managed to function with ponce's compat drivers from 32-bit under 64-bit and the 32-bit hplip module. Here is wread's solution thru hplip for the 32-bit version and ponce's compat libraries:
