HTPC Project...

Post#1 by n0ctilucient2 » 27 Jun 2020, 19:09

I am currently finishing a HTPC (Home Theater PC) project bringing together the best SFF (Small Form Factor) compromises to a relatively compact footprint.

The core of this build combines a AMD Ryzen5 3400g (APU) and a ASRock x570 itx mainboard.

The main challenge seems to be keeping performance up and thermals and power consumption down.

I should have everything in place in about a week.

So far I have put together the following:
... the 3400g APU
... a Streacom FC1 chassis w/ a slim DVD slot
... a PNY NvME 256gb (8gb NAND SLC) SSD
... 2 Kingston 3200mhz dual rank DDR4 rails
... a Seagate hybrid 1tb HDD hybrid drive
... a Dynatron AM4 server heatsink

Welcome... to any helpful input in advance.

More to follow...
