I agree with factory reset in Recovery, but it remove all your content on this device.

Hmmm... I guess that will mean I will lose "root" and all system mods.

Mission accomplished! I took it to a service center and collaborated with the tech.
Between the 2 of us we solved the problem without doing a reset.

The issue was the SD card (which is still missing) was linked to
the keyboard app so we fixed it with an external USB keyboard.

unlocked but now needs to be reset because I can't locate the SD card.
