Blaze, Мне более симпатизирует grub4dos, чем grub2, так как grub2 меня немного устрашает в плане настройки (в нём слишком много всего).
А за ссылку спасибо. Может буду его в дальнейшем использовать если функционала grub4dos не хватит.

Столкнулся с похожей проблемой, но на пункте make выдает ошибку:

activate the porteus 'devel' module, which contains make, gcc

Это я понял надо загрузить модули, но после загрузки - будет вторая ошибка, чуть позже напишу, вот с ней разобраться не могу.

Ошибка Airslax (не Porteus)?
