@derixithy:

There is no fault at all. Here on the porteus forum, people are rather well-tempered, relax and helpful. Maybe some of the devs will answer your interrogation.

Porteus is slackware and slackware is linux. Do you have the impression that our folder structure is pretty much different than that of other linux distributions?

For sure, once accustomed, you will find that porteus is rather efficiency oriented. Your comments positive or negative after a few weeks of testing will be appreciated. We like to get the observations of outsiders.

I already use porteus on and off for two years.
It's an awesome system, easy to fix, easy to extend and fast (even works with my video-card, which is rare lately).

--- edit ---
Thank you for the warm welcome! I appreciate it.

I wrote a quick GUI today for the bundles project so the hard work of the few will not go to waste. I will add a link to it here tonight.

EDIT:
Done. You can get the link from the first post in this thread. Thanks to Bogomips for starting to build bundles. Other users please consider making bundles for your favourite desktop. It's really easy.

added [alldesktops][bundle] to mypaint http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=3243

what about apps that require no extra deps? could these be regarded as bundles?(only stuff not available in usm)

EDIT; okay i see theres more to it, have now changed module name to "mypaint-1.1-porteus3.x-x86_64-alldesktops.xzm"

The bundles module is now available here
It should be noted that it apparently only supports 3.1 desktops. It is blank with 3.01 RazorQt.

Well, it supports 3.0.1 ... but nobody has taken the time to make any bundles.

abiword module superseded by system module, later version of imagemagick however not available in slackware, was missed.

OK but its desktop options only support xfce, lxqt, mate and kde. No RazorQt. Or does that option matter?

-edit-

Never mind. The desktop option doesn't matter. But the Arch option does and there aren't any x86_64 bundles yet either. But the app does work. Thanks brokenman.

Where are we with that bundle project? Is there many of you using the technology curently?

I saw that brokenman does:
http://dl.porteus.org/x86_64/Porteus-v3.2rc3/bundles/

Is there a link to a porteus bundle site?

2) The target package and all of it's dependencies are installed into one folder and a module is made from this folder.

What is meant here seems to be txz packages, I imagine. I will try that and come back. :)
