Thanks for Brokenman since he developed NVIDIA OPTIMUS xzm packet http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php? ... mus#p17212

What is the model of your machine and what kernel are you using? I believe the later kernels 3.10+ should fix this problem with runaway temperature. I am not experiencing this on 3.12+. The next version of Porteus should include the updated kernel. As for vga_detect i havn't tested it so i will give it a go and pass on the required info to Fanthom so he can implement it into the vga_detect code.

It is probably caused by a different name that is given to the nvidia device (e.g not vga controller).

Hi brokenman,
Thanks for reply.
This is DELL N BFQ6767 series.
Kernel is 3.9.
I hope fanthom will solve this problem with some changes on vga_detect cheatcode. Thus Porteus portability will increase and become the world most portable OS because of detecting all VGA.
Thanks....
