I have found out that the network issue when unpluging the power is some compatibility issue between the switch and Network Manager.
When I plug into Avaya 4524GT switch port, I do not have to connect my laptop power to get the network working normally

Can you please set the Konsole scrolling to Unlimited Scrollback in the 1.2 final release.

weird - is wicd working ok? if yes and if this issue really bothers you then you may want to switch back to wicd (it's in the repo).

I have download wicd as well. But I thought since Network Manager is default then if everything work fine, it would be awesome.
