Framebuffer font-size increase on shutdown?

New features which should be implemented in Porteus; suggestions are welcome. All questions or problems with testing releases (alpha, beta, or rc) should go in their relevant thread here, rather than the Bug Reports section.

Framebuffer font-size increase on shutdown?

Post#1 by nanZor » 21 May 2025, 05:51

Is there a way (or may I suggest) that upon shutdown/reboot, the framebuffer font-size is the same larger size as when Porteus first starts up prior to X11?

Upon shutdown/reboot, the font size is pretty teeny, and sometimes makes notifications easy to miss especially when using the EXIT: cheatcode, or seeing that one might want to enlarge their savefile soon. Having the font size be the same as that on startup would be useful so as not to miss it.

I run Terminus fonts on my own when I do text-only, or drop into virtual terminals, but just the default size upon shutdown being same size the one upon startup would be neat. Yeah, I suppose it's a cosmetic thing, so no hurry. :)
