Post#1 by hakeem320 » 06 Feb 2014, 18:58

hi folks
this is my first post in porteus forum hope u like it.

Lots of people having trouble of website filtering by net service providers. So to bypass these restrictions all u need these two files:
http://www.4shared.com/file/NuIXFli2ba/ ... ponce.html
http://www.4shared.com/file/rzRej5Sqba/ ... 9i686.html

after downloading & putting them in modules & activating u will find under application --------->internet-----vidalia
default listing address & port is : 127.0.0.1:9050
set it in ur browser and have fun by browsing ur favorite sites.
Note : For proxy type set to (socks 5)

Welcome to the porteus forum hakeem! :)

Thanks for the info. At first glance, this approach seems more straightforward for porteus users than in this precedent thread that we had:

Prendre son temps, profiter de celui qui passe.

@francois
I must apologize, but there is a typo in that post: port 9150 should read port 9050.. :bad:

Excusé moi!, my fault
Porteus is proud of the FASTEST KDE ever made.....(take akonadi, nepomuk and soprano out and you will have a decent OS).
