I've tested on v2.0 and v2.1 of Porteus and didn't found ant problem with it.

Check the library glibc-2.11 on your system.

If the application is not executed using the icon, open a terminal and type 'blender', then press 'enter' and it will be able to work with the program.

It seems that there is a troubble with fomat of the file blender.desktop.
