Try KRDC = Remote Desktop Client!

Or if you don't have kde installed you can try tightvnc.

The main point is that on the computer that you want to see on your computer, you will need to have a daemon running that is waiting for connections. Something like vncserver. Then you can connect to it from your first computer and see or control it. This is the simplest solution for you.

If you supplied more information we could have helped more.

1) Operating system (with version) for BOTH machines.
2) Both computers on the same network or one is remote?
3) Want a GUI or command line access?

If you don't have kde installed, you can always use fish. Take a look at http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php? ... 725#p15331 i even posted for amplatfus. This is "something similar", as you well stated.

Good luck :)

No cross posting. Please respect this rule.

You are referring to a post about reaching data on a remote host and this topic is about remote control software which is different.

Dear Hamza!

Excusé moi, mais.... I just made attention to "something similar" which is the matter of this post! Did you ever try fish?? Using fish you can control the remote computer as if it were yours!

Regards!

Instead of pointing to a topic where it's written how to download data from a remote computer using fish, you can explain here, on this topic, how to control the computer using this protocol. Less generic. Better for everyone.
