LibreOffice 4.0.0 + Java Development Kit 7u15

Post#1 by RamonTavarez » 01 Mar 2013, 15:22

Hi :

The following links leads you to the modules for LibreOffice, version 4.0.0, and Java Development Kit, v7u15.

Description:
LibreOffice is an Office suite, which is a project of the not-for-profit organization The Document Foundation, developed under the free software Lesser GNU Public v3 license. This means you're free to use it for personal and commercial use, you're free to copy it and give copies away, and you're free to modify and redesign the source code, and to create derivative works.
LibreOffice offers:
Writer is the word processor inside LibreOffice. Is powerful enough to tackle desktop publishing tasks such as creating multi-column newsletters and brochures.
Calc is the spreadsheet from LibreOffice. Analyze your data with Calc and then use it to present your final output. Add data from external databases such as SQL or Oracle, then sort and filter them to produce statistical analyses. Use the graphing functions to display large number of 2D and 3D graphics from 13 categories, including line, area, bar, pie, X-Y, and net.
Impress is for multimedia presentation. Create presentations that look even more professional than the standard presentations you commonly see at work.
Draw lets you build diagrams and sketches from scratch.
Base is the database front-end of the LibreOffice suite. You can use imported and linked tables and queries from MySQL, PostgreSQL or Microsoft Access and many other data sources, or design your own with Base.
Math is a simple equation editor that lets you lay-out and display your mathematical, chemical, electrical or scientific equations quickly in standard written notation.

Enjoy it! :good:

NOTE: Since a new and improved version of LibreOffice is already available :Bravo: , LibreOffice 4.0.1 including the helppack for US english (http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=1990 + http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=2024), the previous version, LibreOffice 4.0.0, will not be longer available from april :cry:.

@RamonTavarez
thank you very much for your effort, it's work good without "jre java" in normal use.

@Arabic_World:
Thanks for your feedback. :good:

Yes, as far as I know LibO, JRE is need by some extentions to operate, and the SDK for development of extentions. The software will work fine without it in normal use.

NOTE: The Document Foundations has released the version 4.0.1 of LibO. I'll check the release log and, if the improvements are significants, I'll try to prepare the module for Porteus; otherwise the next module will be for v4.0.2 (early April 2013).

Cheers!
