Try 008-chrome.xzm instead of 008-firefox.xzm..

Hi all!
The latest google-chrome version, Chromium 25, as well as versions 24,....21 (those I had at hand) ask you not to use it as root, or to call it with an extra argument. I took version 9 and made a module that does not ask you for any extra parameters, and made this 008-chrome to get the taste of how would it fit in Porteus. I will make a survey with my students. It is over 10 MB bigger than firefox, however it has many sympathizers.

How do you like it?http://www.adrive.com/public/URGuPp/008-chrome.xzm
Porteus is proud of the FASTEST KDE ever made.....(take akonadi, nepomuk and soprano out and you will have a decent OS).

To be able to run google-chrome root mode, change the last line of /opt/google/google-chrome with a text editor:
viewtopic.php?f=81&t=2407
replace

Code: Select all

 "$@"
to:

Code: Select all

"$@ --user-data-dir"
