VLC 1.1 for Porteus 1.2

Place these two files in your porteus/modules folder. Reboot and you will find VLC in the startup menu.

Module for QT 4.7: http://db.tt/vV0SrfJl
module for VLC: http://db.tt/3O6Q0g7P

if you don't want to restart, the QT files doesn't activate via Package Manager but works fine if you activate them via a terminal.
Go to the modules folder and execute:
# activate qt-4.7.0.xzm
# activate vlc-1.1.10-i486-1alien.xzm

Try this link http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php? ... =VLC#p7539

it works for me in Porteus 1.2 too.

Porteus is proud of the FASTEST KDE ever made.....(take akonadi, nepomuk and soprano out and you will have a decent OS).

Not really: 4shared.com: The file link that you requested is not valid.

I forgot to give creds to you wread, the QT-libs are made by you.

@sven
Sorry, I must pay the annuity for my domain read.net again; that is why it is closed and as not valid declared. This should be ok by next week.

Cheers!

EDIT: Ok, sven, you can try it again now! Should work....

Hi all,
I'm trying to stream mp3 files for music on hold from an VLC player, so that I can control (play, pause, next song...) it.
In order to get that, I've configured the musiconhold.conf file to run the VLC application listening at UDP port 1234.
However, I can see that music is captured but nothing is played at the SIP devices (they support mp3 codecs).
