If anyone is in need for the NVidia 340.108 driver (for older hardware) for Porteus 5.0rc1 I can provide it.
But CAVE! You need to have a newer 5.4.19 kernel by neko. Compiling the driver for the standard-kernel of 5.0rc1 is not possible! At least me is not able doing so.
It was compiled and tested using neko's 5.4.19 Kernel. (I also compiled a driver for 5.4.18 kernel but alas! that very kernel was unwilling to get the soundcard of the machine running for which the NVidia driver was targeted)
If anyone has a need for this driver, please reply here and I will upload it.
Be aware that I cannot give you any support for upgrading your kernel to the needed neko kernel 5.4.19. But you find all needed info in neko's thread Porteus Kernel Builder

Hello Rava.
I currently use the Neko script with kernel version 5.5.7.
Unfortunately my hard is old NV5200 and use nouveau driver.
Could you upload the driver you 340.180 compiled module?
I will downgrade to 5.4.19 for testing
Thank you

Rava, thanks for sending the file, I managed to download it without any problems.
Unfortunately I couldn't find the link to the old kernel 5.4.19 in the Neko forum. It probably removes the links after each update.
Thank you for the effort and let me know when you update this module again.

Rava worked!
I recompile 5.4.19 kernel with NEKO script.
The nvidia module not read on boot, then I had to write in rc.local:
depmod -a
modprobe nvidia
Thank you for the module.

Strange, all there is in my rc.local is the startup of the adapted rc.FireWall script - adapted due to two more ports I need to have opened for interlink: port 587 for SMTP and 993 for SSL IMAP.
Not a iota more in my rc.local for now.
I tell Blaze about that issue you encountered since he is the one maintaining the nvidia.sh compile script for creating the NVidia drivers. (I need to heavily change the script since it also copies softlinks that have nothing to do with a Nvidia driver into the module, so in the end I manually create the module from the nvidia.tar.gz changes archive his script creates.)
You are welcome.
Cheers!

@all who use older NVidia hardware: It is even worse than I thought.
