I just like Slackware because I think it teach you about Linux to build packages where Ubuntu is like Windows you just install programs you want.

How is that possible? The http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ webpage shows the version for Linux Firefox to be 11.2.202.632.

I know it not 11.2.202.632 but my version seem to be working. Maybe they came or coming out with a new version. If anyone finds anything please post it here.

EDIT:
I just went here http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and here is a screen shot. Just click on link. Thanks for the info.

Thanks, When I do anything I try and do it right. Is there anything you want built? If it is for kde5 I will have to make a USB kde thumb drive to do it. It is the only way for me to help out member. But I'm happy it work.

Why not cups and system-config-printer?

That reminds me. We will need the printing module for the final release. Has anyone done anything with it yet?

It would require downloading the existing one from v3.1 and seeing what packages are in it, then updating everything. Anything that is compiled because it doesn't exist in slackware will have a -1ftm or -1Ahau suffix.

Well I took USM and ran on these system-config-printer, cups and simple-scan. Here is the output.

System-config-printer

Code: Select all

ghostscript-9.19-x86_64-2.txz
gutenprint-5.2.11-x86_64-2.txz
notify-python-0.1.1-x86_64-5.txz
pycups-1.9.73-x86_64-1.txz
pycurl-7.43.0-x86_64-1.txz
system-config-printer-1.3.13-x86_64-2.txz
Cups

Code: Select all

cups-2.1.4-x86_64-1.txz
cups-filters-1.9.0-x86_64-2.txz
poppler-0.45.0-x86_64-1.txz
pycups-1.9.73-x86_64-2.txz
python-2.7.11-x86_64-2.txz
qpdf-6.0.0-x86_64-1.txz
Simple-scan

Code: Select all

gd-2.2.1-x86_64-1.txz
gegl-0.2.0-x86_64-3.txz
ghostscript-9.19-x86_64-2.txz
gimp-2.8.18-x86_64-1_slack14.2.txz
libgphoto2-2.5.10-x86_64-1.txz
libieee1284-0.2.11-x86_64-3.txz
libwmf-0.2.8.4-x86_64-6.txz
net-snmp-5.7.3-x86_64-3.txz
sane-1.0.25-x86_64-2.txz
simple-scan-2.32.0.2-x86_64-1_slonly.txz
When I or anyone else build this bundle it would be about 102MB. Lets see if someone else come's out with something better.

@brokenman:
This is my answer to the printing module is to upgrade to cups 2.1.3:
http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=6190

Know that Ahau's printing module from my tests works as is for porteus 3.2. The problem is that it comes with cups 1.5.x.

There is a lot in there, more than packages, but also ppds. They are not up to date.

We need some testers for cups 2.1.3 or simply that usm2 makes the links for CUPS 2.1.3 to the dependencies and provides the appropriate links or starts cupsd.

@blaze:
Good that you thought about scanning. :)
