Sublime Text, unlike geany, is not free software but shareware.
More info on it here:
https://www.sublimetext.com/
and here:
Sublime Text (en.wikipedia)
Sublime Text is a shareware cross-platform source code editor. It natively supports many programming languages and markup languages. Users can expand its functionality with plugins, typically community-built and maintained under free-software licenses. To facilitate plugins, Sublime Text features a Python API.
I personally use an outdated geany (works fine for me, never had issues) that is a quite small module:
021-geany-1.23.1-x86_64-1gv.xzm - a mere 3.08 MB, worked in all 5.0rc versions and in 5.0 finale as well.
Just try Sublime Text 4 and geany and see what floats your personal boat better.
Cheers!

Forum rules prohibit posting non-free software packages?
ST is the only proprietary utility that I use, convenience is more important to me.
I tried switching to Geany but didn't like it.

No, it does not. I just wanted to point that out to the people who care about that.
