Installing under porteus.
Here is the procedure which works as of today:

wget http://cdn01.foxitsoftware.com/pub/foxit/reader/desktop/linux/2.x/2.4/en_us/FoxitReader.enu.setup.2.4.4.0911.x64.run.tar.gz
cd ~/Downloads
tar xzvf FoxitReader*.tar.gz
chmod a+x FoxitReader*.run
./FoxitReader*.run

Then follow the installation wizard installing under:

 /tmp/foxitreader-module/opt/foxitsoftware/foxitreader

dir2xzm foxitreader-module folder to get the final module to be inserted into the /porteus/modules folder.

You have to call foxit reader the first time in command line:

FoxitReader   #with F and R and not with f and r

[*] fixed program freeze by removing /opt/foxitsoftware/foxitreader/fxplugins/libupdater.so
[*] added workaround for terminate this program if closed window, so it won't remain running in background anymore

Thanks. I used to like that pdf software. Now, I use pdfstudio, but I will sure consider reverting to foxitreader
