Hey look another custom firefox fork

Mullvad Browser from the mullvad vpn folks :
https://mullvad.net/en/browser
based on firefox esr
privacy oriented.. includes ublock, includes full language packs
no tweaks added so far.

Mullvad Browser is frozen on porteux-v2.0-current-xfce-4.20-x86_64 as soon as I want to select "html import browser data"

same on porteus-5.1alpha2 . something that's come with the 14.5* series.. previous mullvad versions are okay.
seems it could be related the gtk3-classic package we use, specifically one of the file chooser patches that is applied.. (seems to be trying to open an unreasonably large window (launch from a terminal to see the gdk messages))
need to do some more digging.. might be interesting to see if there is a similar problem with the upstream firefox esr that mullvad is based on.

changing to the standard gtk3 made no(or very little) difference and firefox esr doesn't have this problem either. so maybe not the gtk3-classic..
but, on my obarun(arch) system, mullvad-bin via the aur, doesn't have this issue.. which tends to point to something porteus specific. no idea atm.

fixed the open file dialog issue ,
was a quite simple edit to internal fonts.conf file provided by the AUR PKGBUILD under the helpful comment: # fix "open file" dialog crash
