Well I learn something today about Porteus-MATE-v5.0rc3-x86_64.iso before I couldn't start WiFi like Nemesis. So what I did is I took my Mate I built and replace my 001-core, 002-xorg and 003-mate then I took rc3 and replace with 001-core, 002-xorg, 002-xtra and 003-mate.
Now my update with rc3 WiFi works like out of the box. Now I need to fix Mate because I don't like the way it looks. SORRY
Maybe that what wrong with Nemesis.

I just like Slackware because I think it teach you about Linux to build packages where Ubuntu is like Windows you just install programs you want.

You should edit your posting and correct the "rc"s.
So basically Jack it sounds like your using your customized Mate DE from ??? with Porteus 5.0rc3. Have you tried the Porteus-MATE-v5.0rc3-x86_64.iso system?

Yes I downloaded Porteus-MATE-v5.0rc3-x86_64.iso and remove 000-kernel and vmlinuz and replace it with my built of Mate. By the way I rebuilt 2nd time this way. I think the kernel when it was built something was left out for WiFi.Ed_P wrote: ↑07 Sep 2021, 15:24You should edit your posting and correct the "rc"s.

I don't get that error when I click on the link I posted with Firefox. I suspect a http / https problem. Try a different mirror. http://porteus.org/porteus-mirrors.html
