I want to build a current version of Mate. @Beny I think this is a working copy XFCE.

Is the file you are referring to a 4.0 version or a 5.0 version? Irregardless, you can find all the versions with this porteus mirrors link: http://porteus.org/porteus-mirrors.html

I want to build my own Mate like I did before. Brokenman built porteus-current-20190413.tar.xz which is the scripts to build Porteus. The links in my thread are all ready built Porteus Desktop I know where to get them.

hi jack, i know but modules like kernel, core and xorg are of slackware current, the desktop... for you i think you need it build your mate packages and merge all,after you can change as you wish,or maybe i am wrong...
