Memory usage

Normally,I don't have a look at the memory usage. Today, I was using Porteus-5.0rc2 and surprised to notice the following..
Vivaldi-3.2.1967.41 (Stable channel) (64-bit) - 1150.4 MB with one tab open;
XFCE-4.16 - 454.2 MB
Vivaldi has packed lots of " field trail handles" to help in their development, without a user's consent.
Is XFCE really a lean DE? Thunar uses 35% CPU during copying operation. (Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-7100U CPU @ 2.40GHz)
MPV uses 6-10% CPU even while playing Full HD video.(1920x1080)
